Oekraïne: I am an Ukrainian refugee
The war in Ukraine has unsettled the world and moved us all. We sympathise with all those who are affected. We all bear responsibility for the consequences of war. The municipality is providing accommodation to refugees. Dozens of host families also receive relatives, acquaintances and others. We offer support together with national and local civil society organisations and volunteer organisations.
In addition to organising accommodation and support, we continue to search for new accommodation locations. We are looking at both initial emergency accommodation and longer-term options. Together with the regional municipalities in Zaanstreek-Waterland, we are we are working on 3000 emergency shelters.
